Italian librettist
Lorenzo Da Ponte was born on March 10, 1749, in Ceneda, and was an American citizen. He was a versatile artist, working as a playwright, composer, poet, writer, songwriter, translator, and librettist. Lorenzo Da Ponte also used the pseudonym Lesbonico Pegasio in his works.
