Louisa Catherine Adams (née Johnson; February 12, 1775 – May 15, 1852) was the first lady of the United States from 1825 to 1829 during the presidency of John Quincy Adams. Born in London, England, she is one of only two first ladies born outside the United States or the preceding Thirteen Colonies. The other is Melania Trump (2017–2021).
