Lucian Freud was a British painter and illustrator born in Berlin on December 8, 1922 . He held citizenship in the United Kingdom . Freud attended several educational institutions, including Goldsmiths, University of London; Bryanston School; East Anglian School of Painting and Drawing; and Central School of Art and Design . He passed away on July 20, 2011, in London, England .

Lucian was the son of Ernst L. Freud . He had several children, including Susie Boyt, Jane McAdam Freud, Paul Freud, Frank R. Paul, Bella Freud, and Esther Freud . Freud's birth name was Lucian Michael Freud .
