Luminoso Technologies is an artificial intelligence company that provides a technology that allows computers to understand language and turn texts into actionable business intelligence. The company was created by Catherine Havasi, Jason Alonso, and Robyn Speer in 2010, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The company's software is designed to allow computers, and more specifically smartphones to understand natural, everyday language. The capabilities include remembering the unique language that people use individually on a regular basis such as slang, workplace lingo, names, etc.. and can do so locally (on the user's phone rather than on the cloud). This would allow a user to entire customize their mobile experience based on their linguistic environment.
Luminoso Technologies also provides multi-lingual, flexible software that can be deployed to meet others, either with a standalone cloud, or on-premise solution, or through an end-to-end client platform via API solution. The app then acts like a virtual assistant to the user through its interface.
