Lunova is a Sweden-based venture capital firm with a focus on investing in early-stage companies in its region, with the intention that the companies can grow and create new jobs in the area.It is owned equally by three entities: LTU Holding, Norrsådd, and Sparbanken Nord. Many of the companies in which it invests have a connection to Luleå University of Technology. It has invested in products from industries such as software development, application and network management software, online portals, environmental services, and electronic components.
The company states that when it is considering investing in a startup, it looks at several factors. The factors are evaluated by an investment manager and one factor is that there is high market potential for the business. Other factors include the potential to work well with the company's management and exit opportunities that are able to be defined prior to a second funding round.
