MEMELAND

MEMELAND is 9GAG's inaugural NFT collection and Web3-focused venture studio. The included collections are "YOU THE REAL MVP," "THE POTATOZ," and "THE CAPTAINZ." The community's token is called $MEME. MVP refers to 420 gold-colored trophies that give holders initial access and information for the projects and products that will be dropped, including Potatoz, Captainz, Treasure Islandz, and others.

This membership includes private access to the MVP lounge in MEMELAND Discord, preferential allowlist spots, NFT drops, IRL events, and other collaborations available for MVP members. At MEMELAND, MVP is supposed to boost key utilities of MEMELAND NFTs, from weekly tickets to $MEME staking.

MVP

The Potatoz is a collection of 9,999 utility-enabled PFPs that possess rarity-powered traits inspired by internet memes and pop culture. In June 2022, it was launched as a giveaway mint in OpenSea. Potatoz is a representation of the base-level membership of MEMELAND. Potatoz comes with non-custodial staking and a multi-stage reveal mechanism. Growing Potatoz allows them to be stored in a user's wallet and evolve into the next stages (from stage 0 to stage 5) while collecting tickets to participate in the weekly prize draw. Growing it can offer access to $MEME, allowlist spots, NFT drops, access to IRL events, and more.

Potatoz

The Captainz refers to a collection of 9,999 utility-enabled PFPs that possess rarity-powered traits inspired by pirates, internet memes, and pop culture. It is MEMELAND's premier collection. Captainz is a representation of the premier-level membership of MEMELAND. Utility and perks available exclusively to the Captainz have not been revealed. Two of its major perks include $MEME and Treasure Islandz. Treasure Islandz is a metaverse that Captainz will have initial access to.

Captainz governs the MEMELAND DAO. The DAO will act as a community-led vehicle to support the growth and development of the MEMELAND ecosystem. The DAO will deploy resources toward projects and initiatives that support the MEMELAND mission. The DAO membership is open to Captainz. Captainz will also assist in making decisions regarding the DAO treasury, governance rules, partnerships, and more.
