Macross 7

Macross 7 (マクロス7) is a Japanese mecha anime and manga series belonging to the genres of science fiction and shōnen manga. The series was created by Shōji Kawamori and authored by Sukehiro Tomita and Haruhiko Mikimoto. It was initially released on October 16, 1994, with the latest release on May 26, 2001. Macross 7 was directed by Tetsurō Amino, and the music was composed by Shirō Sagisu and Yoko Kanno. The series was published by Kadokawa Shoten and is currently active.

Macross 7 competes with several other mecha anime and manga series, including Argento Soma, The Vision of Escaflowne, Kiddy Grade, Fafner in the Azure, NieA 7, Dragonaut: The Resonance, Genesis of Aquarion, Captain Earth, Buddy Complex, RahXephon, and Samurai 7.
