As a Managing Director for Accenture Federal Services, I direct a Technology Practice committed to serving federal Financial Sector clients, including Treasury, IRS, SEC and FinCEN, that are in charge of regulatory oversight and administration of the nation’s critical fiscal policies.
In this leadership role for AFS, I provide innovation-infused leadership, developing and deploying modernization programs and sharing Accenture’s emerging technology capabilities in the areas of Cloud, Digital Platforms, AIX, Cyber, and Next-generation ERP. I’m responsible for advancing tech skills for nearly 1,100 professionals in our sector and managing ecosystem partner relationships.
Over my 30-year career at Accenture and in the industry, I’ve been laser-focused on providing client value through technology. I’ve learned that technology is not about technology for its own sake. It’s about delivering the highest value to complete vitally important federal client missions and accomplish business objectives for the betterment of the American people.
For me, success is the right balance of substance and style. My leadership style is leading by example, trusting our people by giving them the opportunities to lead and grow. I’ve always believed in being resilient and unconditionally transparent, helping peers and clients to focus on long-term objectives. I owe the successes I’ve had in my career to the mentors who pushed me beyond my comfort zone and I’m continually looking to pay that forward.
When not helping clients achieve their best on the professional playing field, I’m a college football enthusiast and, as a University of Alabama-Huntsville graduate, passionate about the Alabama Crimson Tide excelling on their playing field, “Roll Tide”. As a Metro D.C.-area transplant, I’ve been actively involved with the Boy Scouts – my two sons are Eagle Scouts – and relish long walks with my wife of 29 years and visits to wineries in the region.
