Mario Bava was an Italian film director, screenwriter, cinematographer, writer, and film producer . He was born in Sanremo, Italy on July 31, 1914, to father Eugenio Bava . Mario Bava had a child named Lamberto Bava .
Throughout his career, Bava directed numerous films, including "I Vampiri" , "The Day the Sky Exploded" , "Caltiki – The Immortal Monster" , "Hercules in the Haunted World" , "Erik the Conqueror" , "The Girl Who Knew Too Much" , "The Whip and the Body" , "Blood and Black Lace" , "Kill, Baby, Kill" , "The Road to Fort Alamo" , and "Planet of the Vampires" , among others.
He was also the creator of the film "Black Sunday" , and a member of the board of directors for the same film .
Mario Bava passed away in Rome, Italy, on April 25, 1980 .
