In college, Mark Morgan was a walk-on quarterback at Michigan State University. While he didn’t get to play on Saturdays, he would run the scout team offense against the starting defense each week. Every week they faced a different team presenting different challenges. His role was an important one to get the offense ready for the big day. That’s how Mark views his job today. As Blue Yonder’s Interim CEO, Mark’s job is to ensure that the company – and its customers – are always competitive and prepared to win.
Mark is obsessed with delivering customer value. His role is to ensure adoption, consumption and value realization of the company’s solutions across the customer base. Mark believes that for every $1 of investment, Blue Yonder should deliver back $25 of return.
Having started with the company more than 23 years ago as a solutions advisor, working his way through the ranks in numerous sales and leadership positions, Mark is the embodiment of the company’s tagline “Fulfill Your Potential.” He is keenly focused on associate growth and development, investing time in recruiting and providing opportunities for top talent to arrive and thrive at Blue Yonder. Mark is energized by working with fantastic, diverse teammates on a global basis, to address and solve many challenging and interesting business problems for Blue Yonder’s clients. As he likes to say, “Work is a lot more fun when no two days are the same.”
Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and three sons. He enjoys playing tennis, golf, and waterskiing with his family on the weekends.
