Mary Church Terrell was born on September 23, 1863, in Memphis, Tennessee and was a citizen of the United States. She passed away on July 24, 1954, in Annapolis, Maryland. Terrell was a writer and a suffragette, educated at Oberlin College. She was the founder of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs (NACWC), and is an instance of a person.
