Queen of naples
Mary of Hungary (1257-1323), a member of the Árpád dynasty, was an Albanian politician and statesman who became Queen of Naples through her marriage to King Charles II. She was born in Naples to father Stephen V of Hungary and mother Elizabeth the Cuman.
Mary and Charles II had several children, including Charles Martel, Margaret of Anjou, Louis of Toulouse, Philip I, Prince of Taranto, Blanche of Anjou, Raymond Berengar, Grand Master of the Knights Hospitaller, Marie of Anjou, and Peter Tempesta}. She is also known as the founder of the church known as Santa Maria Donna Regina Vecchia in Naples.
Mary of Hungary passed away on March 25, 1323, in Naples, at the age of 66.
