Matt Wells

Matt Wells is a New Mexico-based software engineer. He is the CEO and founder of Gigablast, a web search engine. Wells obtained a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, located in the Socorro, New Mexico. After completeing his undergraduate program, Wells pursued a masters in mathematics at the same university. Wells then worked as a software engineer for the company Infoseek for three years. In 2000, Wells founded his own company named Gigablast. In 2013, Wells began working for Diffbot, a company developing machine learning algorithms and public APIs in order to extract data from web pages.
