Matthew Hutton (archbishop of York)

Matthew Hutton (1529-1606) was an archbishop of York born in Warton, Lancaster. He was educated at Lancaster Royal Grammar School and later at Trinity College, Cambridge. Hutton pursued a career as a priest and eventually rose through the ranks to become the Archbishop of York. He passed away on January 16, 1606 at Bishopthorpe. Matthew Hutton also had a child named Timothy Hutton.
