Meiji University

Meiji University is a private educational institute that was founded in 1881. It is an organization located in Tokyo, Japan. Meiji University operates in the education, higher education, and university industries.

The university bears the motto "Rights, Liberty, Independence and Self-government" and is also known as 明治大学. It has been accredited by numerous organizations, including the European Foundation for Management Development, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, the Japan University Accreditation Association, and the Japan Accreditation Board for Engineering Education. Meiji University has been assigned five patents.
