Meritus Ventures is a venture capital firm headquartered in London, Kentucky, United States. The firm was founded in 2002. The fund itself was created in response to the United States' government rural business development program. Based on this, Meritus Ventures aims to fund companies based in U.S. States located in the Mount Appalachian region. The firm makes an investment for companies at the growth-expansion stage. It finances companies operating within the sector of manufacturing and technology, although it also considers other sectors. As of May 2013, Meritus Ventures is managing a portfolio of two active companies and has sold off its stakes in seven companies.
