Mervyn LeRoy was an American actor, film producer, film director, and screenwriter. He was born on October 15, 1900, in San Francisco and held citizenship in the United States. Throughout his career, LeRoy directed several notable films, including "Johnny Eager", "Gold Diggers of 1933", "Five Star Final", "Little Women", and "I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang".
In addition to directing, LeRoy was a member of the board of directors for "The Bad Seed", and he also created the film. Furthermore, he authored the critically acclaimed film "The Wizard of Oz".
Mervyn LeRoy had a child named Warner LeRoy. He passed away on September 13, 1987, in Beverly Hills, California.
