Michael Zhu is the founder and manager partner of Accathon Global, a New York-based venture capital firm; a co-founder of Lair East, a New-York based technology holding company and tech startup community; and a managing director of Huayuan International (USA) Investment Co., Ltd., a New-York-based branch of the Huayuan Cultural Industry Group. Michael Zhu is a Global VC Program Partner for Venture University, a venture partner for Ameba Capital, a partner for Hermitage Capital, and a limited partner investor for Zhu Family Office, which invests in emerging VC fund managers across Asia and the US.
Michael Zhu served as the CEO of Lair East from 2015 to 2018. Zhu serves as an advisory board member in multiple startups, including Throwing Fruit Inc. and Cela, and is an advisor at the NYC Chinese Entrepreneur Organization. He holds an Executive MBA from Columbia Business School and certificates from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business and Harvard Business School Online. Zhu has appeared as a guest speaker at events, including 2020 Ascent Conference, 2019 TechCrunch Shenzhen, 2019 Cela Summit, 2019 Baidu ABC Partner Summit, and 2018 Accelerator Awesome Summit.
Michael Zhu is also an art and antique collector for the Zhu family's private museum, a collection including eighteen dinosaur fossils and 15,000 pieces of pottery dating back over 4,000 years.
