Mikhail Fedyaev was born on May 16, 1962 in the city of Prokopievsk, Kemerovo Region. In 1985 he graduated from the Kuzbass Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Automobiles and Automotive Facilities.
From the beginning of the 1990s, he was engaged in business, headed various commercial companies. While working as the head of the Kemerovo representative office of MirInvest, he met his future partner Vladimir Gridin. At the end of 1999, they came to the management of the Chernigovets coal mine. After that, Mikhail Fedyaev and Vladimir Gridin began to form an industrial group - the Siberian Business Union Holding Company, registering it in 2004. The structure of the company includes a number of dynamically developing assets in various sectors of the economy.
Social position. HC "SDS" under the leadership of M. Yu. Fedyaev invests in the construction and maintenance of sports, recreation and entertainment facilities. It finances and organizes sports events of the Russian and international level, as well as the largest federal, regional and city events.
Sports support
In the spring of 2008, the Siberian Business Union holding company made a proposal to establish a professional volleyball club in Kuzbass. The initiative was supported by the administration of the Kemerovo region and the All-Russian Volleyball Federation. Since then, the holding has maintained the Kuzbass club.
"SDS" is a sponsor of various sports federations, teams and athletes in such sports as volleyball, boxing, judo, parachuting and billiards, bandy, swimming, tennis.
Since May 2017, Mikhail Fedyaev has been a member of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) commission for the World Series of Boxing (WSB), and is the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Russian Boxing Federation in the Siberian Federal District. He created a sports boxing complex for holding competitions and training events in the city of Kemerovo, sports training centers for boxing in the Kemerovo region and the Central Federal District.

The President conducts a socially responsible business, implementing a set of internal corporate social programs and projects aimed at ensuring a decent level of quality of life and preserving the health of employees of the enterprises of JSC Holding Company "SDS" and their families. It pays special attention to supporting associations of veterans of the enterprises of HC "SDS", numbering over 17 thousand people, provides employment and benefits to young and promising professionals.
Clergy Support
The President provides active financial and organizational assistance in the implementation of social projects and programs of city and municipal authorities, builds temple complexes and chapels in the Kemerovo Region and Altai Territory.

President's Awards
The President of the SDS Holding Company was awarded various medals, departmental and state awards. He has the honorary titles "Honorary Worker of the Fuel and Energy Complex", "Honorary Citizen of the Kemerovo Region". In 2017, Mikhail Fedyaev was awarded the highest award of the Kemerovo region "Hero of Kuzbass".
