MobileGo is a cryptocurrency platform for the mobile gaming industry.
According to Kuveke, in late summer-early fall of fall 2017, it became clear that their applications were not ready to enter the market. After that, the team dropped the original roadmap. At the same time, the project management began to develop the idea of GNation, a gaming brand almost unrelated to cryptocurrency.Side projects were created: an application for managing the Prometheus crypto wallet, an application for reverse viewing the Real Market, but the main project almost did not develop.
Almost nothing of what was stated in the roadmap was done, because after the end of the crowdsale, the company's management changed its vision of the project, and soon there was a split in the team. The created platform does not actually work. The remaining developers and part of the community are trying to revive the project, but they do not have access to the money collected at the ICO.
On July 30, one of the leading developers of MobileGo, Jack Kuveko, posted his explanation of what is happening on Reddit. On the official website of the project, he is still represented as a CSO (commercial director).
MobileGo is a cryptocurrency platform for the mobile gaming industry. It enables users to earn discounts and rewards, as well make mobile gaming related purchases and trading in a decentralized virtual market. Decentralized match play and tournaments are also one of the highlights of the MobileGo platform.
MobileGo team has been developing a platform for mobile games based on blockchain and smart contracts with the ability to conduct decentralized multiplayer tournaments. So far, professional gaming sports (eSports) is open only to the gaming elite due to the high threshold of entry into professional tournaments. The company promised to revolutionize gaming and make gaming sports accessible to everyone with MobileGo tokens on the GameCredits platform. MobileGo owners were promised to be given the right to participate in a peer-to-peer game, as well as to organize their own decentralized gaming tournaments and earn money on this thanks to Ethereum smartphone technologies.
August 13, 2018
On August 13, an announcement appeared on the Medium that the GameCredits project had been decided to "start from scratch", gathering a team of some of the original board members and founders, as well as new faces. The creation of the GameCredits Fund was also announced. A year after the ICO, there is neither a finished product nor a working platform.
It is not clear where the 53 million dollars collected at the ICO went. Jack Kuweke stated that he worked at GameCredits from June 2017 to April 2018 without receiving any compensation, although he was responsible for many issues, including community management and branding. According to him, the management departed from the original roadmap and never hired the experts or marketers requested for the MGO team. The management also refused to account for the use of funds from ICO funds, although it was promised in the WhitePaper. The development team proposed a section of the organization with the allocation of part of the funds to the GameCredits Foundation. Sergey Shalom refused to cooperate and share money. The same developers were blamed for all the failures and lack of transparency. Jack Kuweke believes that the original projects were and remain viable, and the management is to blame for the lack of results.
The project has not been officially closed; recently they have been trying to revive it: reports on the work done are published on Twitter, Facebook and other social networks. The CoinRadio editorial board has requested comments from Sergey Sholom about the MobileGo situation, but has not received a response at the moment.
