Muhammad Yunus

Muhammad Yunus is an economist born on June 28, 1940, in Chittagong, which was part of the British Raj at the time of his birth . He holds citizenship in Bangladesh, having also been a citizen of Pakistan .

Yunus received his education from various institutions such as Chittagong College , University of Dhaka , University of Colorado , and Vanderbilt University . He is the founder of Grameen Danone , which is based in Bangladesh .

Throughout his career, Muhammad Yunus has been recognized with numerous awards, including the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize and the Presidential Medal of Freedom .
