Nawaf Algharabally is one of the country’s leaders in the wireless communication industry, with an experience spanning over 22 years in Kuwait, the Middle East and Africa.
Algharabally joined Zain family in August 1998, and rose to leadership positions in the company starting with Head of the Networks Efficiency Team, and Director of Radio Administration until 2007. Algharabally made significant contributions to the development and improvement of the network, as he was one of the leaders who participated in designing and building the third-generation network in Kuwait in 2005.
In 2003, Algharabally experiences extended to the regional and international markets when he participated in the installation of the first wireless communications network in southern Iraq. He joined Zain Saudi team in 2007 as a regional manager for the eastern area during which he was responsible for building the entire network. The year 2008 marked an important turning point in Algharabally's career when he joined Zain Group as Director of Radio Networks where he was responsible for network investments at Zain KSA and Zain operations in the East African region.
During this period, Algharabally participated in plans to upgrade networks for Zain's operations in Jordan, Chad, and Lebanon. In 2010, he represented Zain Group as a technical officer in Zain Jordan during the plan to move to 3G services in Jordan.
Algharabally, graduated in 1998 from Kuwait University with a bachelor's degree in engineering. He is credited for developing and modernizing Zain Kuwait networks in recent years. In 2019 and under his leadership, Zain became the first company to successfully launch 5G services in the Gulf region. Currently, he is the Chief Technology Officer at Zain Group and Zain Kuwait.
