Wu Mengda, born in Xiamen, Fujian Province on January 2, 1952, left Xiamen for Hong Kong at the age of 7.
In 1973, Wu Mengda registered for the third Hong Kong Wireless Television Artists Training Course. His classmates include Zhou Runfa, Lin Lingdong, etc. His scores have always been among the top five. Wu Mengda, who became famous too early, soon lost himself in fame and wealth. He drank, played cards, and dated women every day. He was not in the mood for work, so he looked forward to finishing work early. His younger martial brother, Du Qifeng, thought that he was "a piece of mud that cannot be supported on the wall".
