BIOGRAPHY
Lianos was born into a Mexican family. Throughout his childhood, the boy lived in poverty and was forced to move to motels in his area, unable to be at home. After some time, Diego entered Redlands East Valley High School, but a year later he left it, starting to spend most of his time at home, with absolutely no work. Before rap Lianos was still working as a janitor and drug dealer. Nicholas soon became interested in photography. After his camera was stolen, Diego turned to musical creativity.
CAREER
Lianos began to gain popularity on music platforms such as SoundCloud and YouTube. The first surge of interest in his persona occurred after the artist published a music video for his song "Betrayed" in August 2017.
In an interview with XXL, Diego announced the title of his debut album, Total Xanarchy. The album includes collaborations with artists such as Diplo and Swae Lee. In December 2017, the artist announced the start of his tour in support of his debut album, tickets for which were completely sold out 5 hours after the announcement, given information from Billboard.
In 2018, Lianos revealed that he was going to change his stage name from "Lil Zen" to "Diego" in order to support the anti-drug movement, but in a subsequent interview he said he was unsure about it.
After the news that Mac Miller allegedly died as a result of a drug overdose, Lil Zen announced that he was ending his musical career. A few days later, Diego clarified that he would continue to make music, but would focus on other art forms.

According to Diego, his first inspirations were Pharrell Williams and N.E.R.D, as well as Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant and Queens of the Stone Age. Drake and Mac Miller are the main sources of great musical inspiration for the performer, according to him.
