British food writer, journalist and broadcaster
Having been fond of cooking since childhood, in 1998 she published her first cookbook, published under the title "How to Eat", sold 300 thousand copies and became a bestseller. In 2000, she published a second book on a similar topic, "How to become a Domestic Goddess", for which she was awarded the British Book Award of the Year.
She received her higher education at Oxford University in the field of philology, after which she began writing reviews of literary works and became a restaurant critic. Since 1986, she has worked as a literary editor at The Sunday Times newspaper, and also became a freelance journalist, collaborating with numerous magazines and newspapers.
