Mr Kolesov was named Director General of Russian Helicopters holding company in December 2021. Prior to that, since 2009, he held the position of Director General at Concern Radioelectronic Technologies (KRET).
In 2007-2008, Nikolay Kolesov served as the governor of the Amur Region, since 1997 for ten years he was the Director General of Elekon plant, previously headed other commercial organizations.
In 1977–1995, he held various working and managerial positions at the Kazan Optical and Mechanical Plant, he began his professional career at the Kazan Plant of Electronic Computers as a radio electronic equipment assembler.
He was awarded with many state and departmental awards, including the II class Order of Merit for the Fatherland, Russian Federation Presidential Certificate of Honour, State Prize of the Russian Federation named after Marshal of the Soviet Union Zhukov and the Order of Friendship.
Nikolay Kolesov was born on December 17, 1956 in Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan, in 1987 he graduated from the Kazan Institute of Finance and Economics, received a doctorate in economics.
From 2009 to 2021, he worked as Director General of JSC Concern Radioelectronic Technologies of Rostec State Corporation.
