Nikolay Urvantsev (born January 17, 1893) was a geologist from the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. He was born in Lukoyanov and educated at Tomsk Polytechnic University. Urvantsev contributed to the discovery and development of Norilsk Nickel, the organization that he founded. He passed away in Saint Petersburg on February 20, 1985.
