Norco is a bicycle manufacturing company, founded in 1964 in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia and a division of Live to Play Sports. The company was founded by Bert Lewis and was initially operated from a converted chicken coop. Norco was one of the first manufacturers of ten-speed bicycles. The company's brand is based on the company's "Dirt First" ethos, inspired by internationally renowned mountain bike riding in British Columbia. The brand has gained recognition through awards and accolades earned by athletes, and many supported Canadian athletes, riding Norco bicycles.
Norco offers mountain bikes, road bikes, city bikes, youth bikes, kids bikes, electronic mountain bikes, electronic urban bikes, and accessories for their electronic bikes. Norco's mountain bikes includes their Downhill range, Freeride range, Enduro range, Trail range, Fat Bike range, XC Race range, Cross Country range, and Dirt Jump range, for sixty-two different bicycle models. Norco's city bikes include their Indie model, Scene model, VFR model, XFR model, and Yorkville model, for nineteen different bicycle models. Under the company's Road bikes are the Search model, Threshold model, and Section model, for twenty different bicycle models.
Norco offers thirteen youth bicycle models and fourteen bicycle models for younger kids.
Norco offers two ranges of electronic bicycle ranges, for mountain bikes and for urban bikes. These bikes are electrically powered through batteries built into the frame of the bicycle, with Norco options for replacement batteries in 540Wh, 720Wh, and 900Wh battery sizes. Under their electronic mountain bikes, Norco includes the Range VLT model, Sight VLT model, Fluid VLT model, Charger VLT model, and Bigfoot VLT model, for thirteen different bicycle models. Under the company's electronic urban bikes, the company offers the Scene VLT model and Indie VLT model, for three different bicycle models.
