Northern State University

Northern State University (NSU) is a public educational institution located in Aberdeen, South Dakota, United States. Established in 1901, the university operates in the education, higher education, and university industry.

NSU is affiliated with several organizations, including the National Collegiate Athletic Association, South Dakota Board of Regents, American Association of State Colleges and Universities, and the National Athletic Association.

The university holds accreditations from the Higher Learning Commission, National Association of Schools of Music, and American Association of Bible Colleges. Northern State University's motto is "Be You. Be Us. Be Northern.".
