Nucleation Capital

Nucleation Capital is a venture firm focusing on investments in the emerging sector of next-generation nuclear energy. Founded in 2018 by Valerie Gardner and Dr. Leslie Dewan, the company is based in Menlo Park, California. Valerie Gardner previously co-founded investment firm Tiemann Investment Advisors, LLC (TIA) in 2002 with Dr. Jonathan Tiemann (Principal and CFO at Nucleation Capital). TIA is the management company of Nucleation Capital.

The company is developing the specialized and broad range of expertise required to invest in and support large scale decarbonization energy solutions. This includes both nuclear fission and fusion with the design of advanced reactors that are smaller, safer, more efficient, and more cost-effective.
