Omar Rodríguez-López, born Omar Alfredo Rodríguez-López on September 1, 1975, is a Puerto Rican-American composer, guitarist, film director, songwriter, and musician. Rodríguez-López was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and currently resides in the United States.
Best known for his work in the music industry, Rodríguez-López's prolific career encompasses various genres, including progressive rock, rock music, post-hardcore, experimental rock, jazz, and jazz fusion. He attended Coronado High School in El Paso, Texas.
As a composer and musician, Rodríguez-López has showcased his talents in multiple projects, solidifying his place in the international music scene and holding dual citizenship in both Puerto Rico and the United States. Beyond music, his skills extend to the realm of film, adding the title of film director to his list of accomplishments.
