Oracle Financial Services Software is a developer of software for financial services companies, including solutions to help banks bring new products to market, build customer-centric digital solutions, and build tools for a more complex financial ecosystem. The company was founded by Rajesh Hukku to develop financial solutions, and it grew into a global company selling products for the global financial services market, including specific products that can handle more specialized banking needs, such as corporate banking, asset management, and investor services. The company was based in India, with its headquarters in Mumbai, where it was founded as i-flex Solutions and listed on the National Stock Exchange of India originally under the ticker symbol IFLX.NS.
Oracle acquired i-flex Solutions in 2005 from Citigroup Venture Capital International, which owned a 41 percent stake in i-flex Solutions, for i-flex Solutions product strengths, specifically its FLEXCUBE integrated software package for consumer, corporate, investment, and internet banking. In 2008, i-flex Solutions changed the company's name to Oracle Financial Services after Oracle took an 81 percent ownership stake in the company. The new name was intended to acknowledge the greater alignment between the parent company and its subsidiary.
