Orient Green Power is a producer of renewable power in India. As of June 2022, the company possesses a portfolio of 402.3 MW of wind assets spread across the states of Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Karnataka. Orient Green Power also owns a 10.5 MW wind farm in Croatia, Europe.
The Company’s subsidiaries include Amrit Environmental Technologies Private Limited, Orient Green Power (Maharashtra) Private Limited, Clarion Wind Farm Private Limited, Vjetro Elektrana Crno Brdod.o.o, Orient Green Power Doo, Beta Wind Farm Private Limited, Gamma Green Power Private Limited, Bharath Wind Farm Limited, and Orient Green Power Europe BV.
In August 2023, the Orient Green Power board met to approve rights issue of shares in order to minimize debt and fund future growth projects in the renewable energy sector. Prior to that, the company refinanced its ₹721 crores of debt at a reduced rate of interest from the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA).
