Neftohimik Burgas is a Professional Football Club formed in 1962. The club was originally a team made up of workers, and at times has reverted to such (1970-1980). In 1986, the team became an independent legal entity. The Burgas basedBurgas-based team has played primarily in the "B" league, now referred to as the Second Professional League. Although, the Neftohimik team has also played for short periods of time on both the league above and the league below the middle level. In the first part of 2021, they competed in the Second Professional League; however, their licencelicense was revoked on November 5, 2021. The team is currently coached by Krassimir Mechev and directed by Nikolay Marinov.PFC Neftohimik Burgas is an all male team.
PFC Neftohimik Burgas also runs a training program for youth. There are more than 230 children who train there. The school is managed by Pavel Kolev. Coaches for the youth training include Venelin Petkov, Vasil Tsvetanov, Todor Topalov, Stanimir DimitrovStanimir Dimitrov and Milen Hristov. Trainings are held in the Izgrev Sports Center.
