Inflatable structures which can be expanded to various sizes and provide resistance to movement are beneficial for many uses.  The large forces they can resist along with small storage space requirement, ease of installation, maintainability, and reusability all make inflatables a practical option for use in many fields.  In particular, inflatables can be used to replace current securing methods for large craft in welldecks of amphibious ships.  The proposed inflatable structure, installed between the hull of the LCU and the longitudinal walls of the welldeck, will provide a customized fit while requiring less manpower and lower skill requirements during installation.
