Parag Agrawal is the CEO of Twitter, as well as a software engineer and a cryptocurrency enthusiast. Agrawal has been with Twitter for over ten years. When he started with the company in 2011, he worked as a software engineer. After six years, in 2017, he became the CTO, and in November 2021, he took on the role of CEO. Parag Agrawal is now the youngest CEO of an S&P 500 company.
Parag Agrawal was born on May 12, 1984 in Ajmer, India. He moved with his parents to Mumbai a few years later. Agrawal graduated from the India Institute of Technology in 2005, with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and Computer Science. He went on to earn a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University in 2012. Agrawal worked in research at Yahoo, Microsoft, and AT&T prior to joining Twitter in 2011.
