Pathstream is a company developing a platform to teach career-relevant software skills to university and college students prior to graduation. It was established in 2018 by Eleanor Cooper. It is headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States.
Pathstream collaborates with software companies to determine relevant software skills that they seek in college fresh graduates who need to fill entry-level positions. The company also partners with higher education institutions to provide the education needed to master these skills prior to the students’ entry to the workforce. Pathstream does this by providing tasks and projects that the students need to complete using the learned software skills. As of September 2019, Pathstream is partnering with Facebook, Silicon Valley Bank, Unity, and Salesforce to develop a curriculum teaching skills ranging from digital marketing to virtual reality design.
Since its year of establishment, Pathstream has managed to raise $13 million in capital from two funding rounds. In August 2019, Pathstream held its most recent funding round, a Series A, which accumulated $12 million. Past investors who have financed Pathstream were New Ground Ventures, Bisk Ventures, and Heritas Capital Management.
