Paul Greengrass (born August 13, 1955) is a writer, screenwriter, film producer, television director, film director, filmmaker, and journalist. Born in Cheam, he studied at Queens' College, Cambridge, Sevenoaks School, and Gravesend Grammar School. Greengrass is known for his work on United 93 and has directed films such as Bloody Sunday, The Theory of Flight, Captain Phillips, and the 2013 film CAPTAIN PHILLIPS.
Greengrass has received numerous awards throughout his career, including BAFTA Award, AACTA International Awards, AARP Movies for Grownups Awards, Akademie Science Fiction, Fantasy a Hororu, Awards Circuit Community Awards, Berlin International Film Festival, and Chicago Film Critics Association Awards.
