Paul Verhoeven

Paul Verhoeven is a film director, screenwriter, and film producer born on July 18, 1938, in Amsterdam. He is a citizen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and was educated at Leiden University. In addition to his film career, Verhoeven has also worked as a television director and television producer. He is the father of Helen Verhoeven.

Paul Verhoeven's first release was in 1960. Throughout his career, he has directed films in various genres, including comedy, romantic, drama, comedy-drama, thriller, horror, historical, adventure, science fiction, and action. Some of his notable directorial works include "The Fourth Man", "Starship Troopers", "RoboCop", "Total Recall", and "Basic Instinct".

Verhoeven has received various awards, such as Golden Globe Awards, Academy Awards, BAFTA Awards, César Awards, Saturn Awards, and Golden Raspberry Awards.
