Per Olov Enquist was a Swedish author, playwright, writer, journalist, screenwriter, critic, and novelist born on September 23, 1934 in Sweden. He was educated at Uppsala University and had a wide range of occupations including writing novels, short stories, and scenarios. Enquist was also known by the nickname Peter Husberg.
Enquist authored several works including "Crystal Eye", "Way (vessel)", "Second (curling)", "Triptych", "Society of Cartographers", "The Visit of the Royal Physician", and "The Legionnaires". In his novel "Crystal Eye", Enquist explores the relation between subjective and objective, relative and absolute, illusory and real.
He was also a director of Realism. Per Olov Enquist passed away on April 25, 2020, in Vaxholm, Sweden.
