Peter Cooper Hewitt (born May 5, 1861, in New York City) was an inventor and engineer known for his contributions to electrical technology. He held citizenship in the United States. Hewitt's education included attending Stevens Institute of Technology and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science. He was the son of Abram Hewitt.
During his career, Peter Cooper Hewitt was granted patents for his inventions. His professional work mainly revolved around engineering. In recognition of his accomplishments, Hewitt was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2011.
Hewitt passed away in Paris on August 25, 1921.
