Phil Ramone

Phil Ramone was a record producer, audio engineer, composer, music executive, and engineer hailing from South Africa and holding citizenship in both the United States and South Africa. Born on January 5, 1934, he went on to study at the Juilliard School. Ramone's work spanned various genres, including rock music, earning him multiple Grammy Awards as well as the Grammy Award for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, and the Grammy Trustees Award. He passed away on March 30, 2013, at NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital.
