Philip Pullman is a novelist, playwright, librarian, and writer from the United Kingdom, born on October 19, 1946, in Norwich. He was educated at Exeter College, Oxford. Pullman is known for his work as an author, with some of his most notable works including the His Dark Materials trilogy, which includes Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass.
Aside from the His Dark Materials trilogy, Pullman has authored various other books, such as The Book of Dust, Lyra's Oxford, Serpentine, Once Upon a Time in the North, The Ruby in the Smoke, and The Shadow in the North. Additionally, some of his other works include The Tiger in the Well, The Tin Princess, How to Be Cool, Count Karlstein, The Broken Bridge, The White Mercedes, I Was a Rat! or The Scarlet Slippers, The Scarecrow and his Servant, The Haunted Storm, The Firework-Maker's Daughter, and The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ.
