With more than 25 years in various operational and general management roles, Piet Houwen has a strong track record in manufacturing, process engineering, project and people management. Piet Houwen has gained broad operational experience in dynamic international environments, including in fast moving consumer goods, food manufacturing,bio-pharmaceuticals and consulting. Prior to joining Biocartis, Piet Houwen was Chief Operations Officer at Ablynx and prior to that, he held global roles for Sanofi/Genzyme and Janssen Pharmaceutica (part of Johnson & Johnson family of companies) where he was active in pharmaceutical manufacturing of large and small molecules, stent coating and medical devices. Piet Houwen holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands).
