Pixis is a global tech company developing a codeless artificial intelligence (AI) solution for brands to monitor and orchestrate marketing campaigns. The company's AI infrastructure consists of over 200 proprietary AI models that aim to provide marketers with plug-and-play AI products without having to write code. The company works with over 350 brands in over fourteen locations, offering over one hundred analytics, creative, and marketing channel integrations. Brands working with Pixis include DHL, Joe & The Juice, Sears, and Swiggy. Pixis stated it crossed the $50 million in an annual recurring in Q3 2023 after growing 140% year-over-year in 2023. Pixis expects to achieve profitability in Q4.
Pixis breaks down its product into three sections:
- Targeting AI—identify, expand, and convert audiences based on real-time data and predictive analysis.
- Creative AI—augment creative capabilities to automate the creation of marketing material across platforms. Pixis enables the generation of video and static assets.
- Performance AI—improve return on ad spend through data-driven decision-making, including automated bid and budget pacing.
Brands that work with Pixis get their own set of “customized learnings” trained on the brand’s marketing data and objectives. These learnings support automation and creation tools. Pixis also provides a chatbot tool called Pixis Analyze that lets users ask questions related to campaigns, marketing data, and various “AI actions.” The company is developing a new editing suite for fine-tuning media output with its generative AI models, called Creative Studio. The product is available to Pixis’s brand partners, with plans for a full launch in 2024.
Pixis was founded in 2018 by Shubham A Mishra (CEO, Global), Shubham A Mishra (CTO), and Hari Valiyath (chief business officer). The company was originally called Pysix before rebranding to Pixis. The three cofounders met at the Birla Institute of Technology & Science in Pilani, Rajasthan, India, while researching generative AI, specifically AI to create art and model assets for games. After realizing how large the market for AI in marketing was becoming, they pivoted, building a prototype to generate marketing assets, which caught the attention of a large bank chain. They started developing a full-stack marketing platform, which would become Pixis, for generating assets, dynamically targeting customers, and monitoring the performance of campaigns in real time. The company was based in Bangalore, India, before moving its headquarters to California.
Pixis has raised $209 million in funding, including two series C rounds of $100 million in January 2022 and $85 million in September 2023. Pixis's investors include SoftBank, General Atlantic, Celesta, Chiratae, Exfinity Ventures Partners, Pi Ventures, PremjiInvest, Grupo Carso, and Touring Capital.
