Pokras Lampas is an ideologist of the new trend in art - "calligraphicuturism". He experiments with calligraphy and imagines how it will look like in tens or hundreds of years. Using symbols of different alphabets Pokras paints his canvas with words in a particular style, looking for ways to create unusual compositions from words, inventing new forms of letters and signs. The artist notes that it's important for him to choose the right words when he writes his works, because to create a certain composition, some words may not fit the number of characters, the letters in them may not have certain arcs.
The artist started with a passion for graffiti, experimenting with calligraphy and different fonts. Now he works in the style of "calligrafiti" (combination of the words "calligraphy" and "graffiti"). The artist combined elements of street art, typography and calligraphy from different cultures.
