Pope John Paul II

Pope John Paul II was born in Wadowice, Poland on May 18, 1920. He was a citizen of Poland, Vatican City, and the Second Polish Republic. Pope John Paul II was a versatile person who held multiple occupations such as poet, politician, writer, human rights activist, professor, philosopher, and Esperantist . He was the child of Karol Wojtyla (senior).

Pope John Paul II was educated at Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas and John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He passed away on April 2, 2005, at the Apostolic Palace.
