Prairie View A&M University is a public educational institute located in Prairie View, Texas, United States. Established in 1876, the university is a part of the Texas A&M University System. Prairie View A&M is a historically black college and university (HBCU) and is focused on education, higher education, and university-related services.
The university is accredited by several organizations, including the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET, and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
