Prosper

The Prosper Prediction Platform is a decentralized prediction market application that allows users to make predictions on a set of pools and get a chance to multiply their assets.

It is a cross-chain project that will allow users to participate in the Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Matic, Avalanche, and Tron blockchain pools.

Prosper uses the Chainlink Oracle channel to guarantee fair conditions and is completely transparent and decentralized on the chain. This is a non-custodial application, which means users host predictions from their own wallets rather than depositing into a centralized repository - users can currently interact with Prosper via Metamask.

Prediction pools are essentially binary options with a time limit: you can predict if the price of a condition will be above (bullish) or below (bearish) a given condition price, the estimated market price of the protocol, within a selected time period - currently only hourly pools are available, with 15 minute and daily pools to be added in the future.

You make a prediction by choosing the amount of the coin or token of your choice (for example, $BNB, $MATIC, or $AVAX) on your chosen side. The predictions of the participants on each side (bull versus bear) work to balance the pool and create a binary return ratio on each side. The winning side will receive their predicted amount multiplied by their side's ratio corresponding to the redistributed pool total minus a fee (3%).

Hourly pools run every hour, every hour. You will be able to make predictions during the first 10 minutes (the allotted time). For example, if a pool starts at 10:00 AM, predictions will be open for 10 minutes, until 10:10 AM, after which predictions will close until the next hour when they reopen (by hourly pools). Although the prediction action will end, the actual pool will not be completed until the end of the hour when the winners are determined and the pool funds are distributed.

Here is a representation of the user interface of the current platform:

1. Connect your wallet.

Click the "Connect wallet" button in the upper right corner of the page. The platform will ask you to set the metamask to the network corresponding to the network selected in the upper left corner of the screen. Feel free to switch depending on which network you want to access. You can follow our guides on how to connect to the platform on different networks here:

Once connected, the platform will display the connected address and the number of tokens in your wallet.

2. Choose your pool.

Select the token and pair you want to "predict" on:

Based on the network you choose, you will be presented with a selection of coins/tokens to predict (assets you choose to predict) and pairs that you will predict bullish vs bear based on the price of the condition. Here, for example, we have chosen to make a prediction on the BNB/USD pair using BNB tokens in the hourly pool.

3. You are now ready to make predictions.

You can see the notional price for your pool and decide if you think the price at the end of the pool will be higher or lower than the predicted price.

You can also see in real time the amounts already predicted for each side of the pool and the return rate of each side.

The Predict button will remain yellow for the first 10 minutes of each pool, allowing you to make a prediction within the allotted time. Click the "Forecast" button to open the forecast pop-up window.

Now you can enter the amount you want to bet on and the side you want to bet on. Click Confirm, this will trigger a transaction that you will need to confirm again in your metamask!

The pool will close the picks and no longer allow new picks 10 minutes after opening, after which it will register the totals and freeze the odds for each side.

4. Claim your profits.

When the pool ends, you will be able to claim rewards for your predictions if you have made a correct prediction. We remind you that hourly pools end one hour after the pool opens. In other words, the pool also ends 50 minutes after the 10-minute prediction period. For example, if the pool is open at 10:00 AM, you will have 10 minutes to post your picks. at 10:10 the pool will no longer be available for placing predictions. At 11:00 the pool will be closed, after which the next pool will start.

Click the yellow Claim button for the pool you were a part of. This will trigger a transaction in your metamask which you will need to confirm in order to receive your rewards.

In case you predicted the losing side, the platform will inform you that this prediction is lost.
