Prosper Women Entrepreneurs is a venture capital and business accelerator dedicated to advancing companies lead by women that is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri and was founded in 2014 by Carol Matthews, Hal Gentry, Jennifer Ehlen, Mary Jo Gorman, Maxine Clark, and Peter Finley. The goal of Prosper Women Entrepreneurs is to grow and improve the confidence, business skills, success, community, jobs, and prosperity of female entrepreneurs. The company runs a for-profit startup accelerator program called the Prosper Women Entrepreneurs Startup Accelerator that help give female entrepreneurs access to capital and increases the amount of women making investments in early stage capital markets.
